So I ordered mine last night and it shipped today. Aside from the fact that the distribution center is 20 miles from my house and Fed-Ex says it's going to take three days to deliver on the Express option ??? It looks like I'll be picking a new service for the phone as I'm currently on Verizon.

I'm thinking AT&T but I have read here about the missing antenna that can cause some issues with this provider. Are there better options? Does T-mobile not have this hole but less coverage. Any advice on this question as I try to distract myself from delivery instant gratification issue (will be checking with Fed-Ex when it lands at the distribution center if I have the option to pick it up early) would be appreciated!

It really depends where you are from. T-mobile is great here in Los Angeles and I am satisfied. I was Verizon user before and I had to switch to T-mobile to use blackberry passport

I just received my phone and am having some issues on AT&T. Didn't realize it was missing an antenna. May have to return.

I'm curious to know what is missing. I have AT&T also. Have had good reception with Classic, PP and Z30. My 60 is being delivered tomorrow.

I currently have a Priv and I'm thinking about the Dtek60 but I do have Att and I'm not changing. What is the antena problem exactly ? I have perfect coverage with my Priv and I'm in NYC. Please be detailed about the problem so that I know if it's going to be worth the change.

    It is not even close.

Would assume same antennas/bands as DTEK50 and mine works great on AT&T and my friends works great on T-Mobile. Overall though in the Philly area where I am AT&T is known to work even better than Verizon.

I read that it was missing band 30. My unlocked Passport had great reception where I live (Denver area). The DTEK 60 has fewer bars and a very difficult time sending text messages. Would get stuck on "sending ".

I'm on AT&T and it's materially better than my Priv, which was no slouch.

This would be very good to know. I am currently on AT&T but if T-Mobile band 12 is supported by the carrier, it would put a switch to T-Mobile in play for me as band 12 fills in the coverage gaps in my area.

I currently have a Z10. I really like this phone, but the handwriting is on the wall. BB10 is dead! I'm looking at buying an unlocked DTEK60 but I'm wondering how do I replace my Z10 (bought from AT&T) on my AT&T account? I have unlimited text and data. Will AT&T want to change my plan?

Lifelong AT&T customer here (although I've never had unlimited data, not much need for it). You can visit an AT&T retail store since you will need a nano SIM anyhow (or cut down your current one). They will record the serial number of the new device, but if changing to the unlocked DTEK60 is the only change you make there should be no charge and no change to your current plan. Always double check with them, but I think the only way you would be forced off and unable to keep unlimited data is you changed to a different plan on your own accord.

I have an oddball retention plan and they have always said it will stay unless I change off of it.

Enjoy the new phone! I left BB10 for Android over a year ago, but I still ordered a DTEK60 and am waiting for it to show up!
