I want to buy a gear s3 but don't know if it's compatible.
I want to buy a gear s3 but don't know if it's compatible.
I'd like to hear the answer to this as well.
Specifically HUB integration.
My thinking is that they can be paired together via Bluetooth. Even though they have two uniquely different operating systems. Samsung uses it's own Tizen OS and Android Wear is Androids OS watch equivalent. The only thing would be loss of some functions. Oh I had heard that Samsung was working on a way to make it completely compatible with Android and Apple. But I haven't got see it yet.
It's definitely compatible. You will have to install a few Samsung apps, but that's the case with any android device. We have 2 gear s2's in the house, 1 with a dtek50 and 1 with a dtek60. Both work perfectly.
And there are no functions missing FYI
I am using Samsung Gear Fit2 and it works perfectly
I have a Hauwei watch that works fine. I don't use it regularly, but because it is a fairly stock Android Wear device it works well with the DTEK60 as far as not needing extra apps, etc. to make things work.
Works perfectly with Gs3
I have the Moyo 360 (series 2) and it works beautifully.
A few are, but nothing really relevant: https://www.sammobile.com/2017/01/12...ear-s3-on-ios/
Btw, @the OP: Gear S3 works great with my Priv, as does Gear Fit2 with my wife's. No dropped connections or anything else. Also, in case you're wondering, I didn't notice any less battery life due to BT being always on etc.
Since when does the dtek60 run ios? Haha
Read beyond the title. ;) In the article is a table for Samsung phones, other Android phones and iOS, that's why I linked it.
Oh I see it now... the email sync. Shouldn't be a deal breaker for most.
Agreed. There's also SMS sync and something about dismissing alarms. I have seen a few people on xda or somewhere who were quite pi**ed because of lack of SMS sync, but I don't really see what's the big deal.
In fact, the watches seem to work so well with our Privs that I wasn't even aware that anything was missing until I managed to find that table.
I use a Fenix 3 (Garmin) with my DTEK60 and it is fully functional. I have a Fenix 5X on order...
Gear 3 will work fine
Personally I've had issues connecting the samsung gear watches BUT after a while I found (now defunct)Pebble worked great and currently using an ASUS Zenwatch 2. Great battery life, amazing screen, gorilla glass, and looks like a high end watch in the gunmetal bracelet and chasis. Zero issues with connectivity with the google pixel xl and asus zenwatch 2.
Hi , you are saying that your gear s3 is working fine on your Priv.? Help i can't figure out how to connect. keeps saying that its impossible due to an incorrect pin or key access .
Currently have a 'pebble steel' (original model) working with Dtek50, and, was originally working OK with my Z10 as well, (with an app from the BBworld) so assume it would work OK with Dtek60 as well
Does not impact on battery life at all, and syncs SMS etc as well.
For an 'old' watch, works a treat!! :)
huami amazfit watch - the best
6 days works, all messages from hub
