After installing a digital email cert from a CA it doesn't appear in Trusted Credentials / User. I have all the relevant CA root certs installed. Any ideas?

It doesn't show up under the system store, but it's there. Go into the Hub->ExchangeAccount (whichever one you're going to use)->Secure Email and it should show up in there. If it doesn't install it from there.

The system-level display only shows CAs. I know it's confusing, but that's Android for you...Unable to install S/MIME digital certificates-2017-02-13-13.52.41.jpg

Thanks for the clarification. I don't have an exchange account as I only use IMAP thus I cannot see the Secure Email setting.

S/MIME does not work on IMAP accounts.

The reason has to do with how Exchange handles attachments (they're offered and indexed individually.) I've long argued that BlackBerry ought to do the work to allow S/MIME on IMAP but it has been a limitation going back to BB10 and when they did the Hub for Android they didn't change it.

Thanks for the clarity. I did use S/MIME for IMAP on BB10 but you've confirmed my research regards this not working on Android.
