    That sucks and one of the short comings of the BlackBerry gell case. Any case should have a raised edge above the plane of the camera edge. It looks like most of the aftermarket cases do. Not sure what they were thinking with that design.

    Wow. I sit on my everyday and toss it back and forth... must have been really bad luck. Even had a iphone i put in the same pocket scratched the crap of my Dtek60 screen, that darn Diamond(Sapphire??) crystal crap on the iphone camera but nothing like yours.

    I might heat it up with a heat gun and stretch it out and maybe put a large nylon washer behind it so the case covers the eyeball.

    From what I've heard the build quality is very good on the DTEK60....

    Now did they skimp of some components.... of course they did, or you would have paid $700 for the DTEK60.

    I recall that the DTEK60 camera lens are made out of glass. So it is more "scratch" resistant (compared to the Priv), but more prone to shatter. It is a tough balance (scratch vs impact resistance). I would try the warranty route and say that it "shattered" when placed on a glass table top... who knows?
