I know there's been a lot of discussion about whether this phone is coming or not, but what is the latest? Is there any truth to the October 11 release date? I am looking at ditching my Classic and was waiting for the Pixel XL but the price is a complete turnoff for me, plus it does not have expandable storage.

I'm thinking now if I should just get the DTEK50 but I'd rather have the larger screen and better specs with the DTEK60.

Anyone here have the latest news on this phone?

I would definitely wait to get the 60 over the 50. the 11th isnt that far away to see if it comes out then or if we hear anything else about its release.

Yeah I guess I will wait. I wonder what it is about BlackBerry knowing that everyone knows about the DTEK60 but not saying anything at all - even in their hardware "update" a day or so ago.

I agree. Most companies at least give a date. Nothing concrete has been offered by BlackBerry. Very quite. Maybe want to manage expectation and keep it grounded.

Yeah I honestly think BlackBerry has become so risk averse that it is afraid of saying or committing to anything.

There's been a lot of leaks pointing to date of the 11th being the date the phone will be available and as we get closer and closer to the 11th, I'm starting to think BB is going to formally announce the phone on the 11th and say it's available for purchase immediately.
