So match lag and device freezing

My device has a lot of lag and freezing problem.I can't multitask without having to restart again due to freezing.app like Facebook are the most affected.just got the device 2 weeks ago.I have not installed any heavy applications and yet it drags like a snail

Was it new or used?

Clearing the Cache is important with that version of Android... I'd do that on a regular basis.

But if that doesn't fix it, do a Factory Reset and wipe the phone.
