DTEK60 is about 14 months old. Lately I am getting full battery drains and powering off after 3-4 hours from full charge.

No phone calls, just light to moderate wifi and data use.

    Thoughts?

You can try to look at the battery usage from Settings -> Battery and see which apps are using most of your battery first. Sometimes it's just some bad misbehaving apps.

My battery went out within the 12 month warranty period. BlackBerry Mobile replaced it without hassle. I wonder how much it would cost to replace battery out of warranty...may be economically feasible to buy a new phone.

I am not sure if the Motion can be purchased new anymore. it has been a great replacement for my 60.

my unit got a battery replacement with approximately USD60 which includes the new battery and installation fees. And is from the original BlackBerry Service in Malaysia.

And I guess Motion can still be purchased new. I saw one online from Hong Kong. But for sure I cant get it in my country.

Not a bad price to repair. I don't see new Motions for sale on Amazon for United States. Just international model and used phones.

I booted up my Dtek 60 today for old times sake. Like my Priv...great weekend phone as I do not push my phone hard on weekends and battery life last all day. I use my Motion during the work week as I push phone hard. That 4000 mAh battery goes for a long time...

As a follow up to my post: sent 14 month old DTek60 to BlackBerry for repair. Out of warranty (just) issue.

CAD$57.00 and I now have my phone back with new 3000 Mah 3.84 battery and much better battery life.

Work order also says they did a firmware update to ABI133 yet a look at settings shows ABB090 with no update available.
