Download " SD insight " app from the Play Store to see if your SD is original and not a fake...

Your SD card got turned into read-only. Here is what you can try. But backup your SD card first. You will need a Windows PC.
1. Remove the SD card from the phone and put it in your computer's SD slot. Make sure your computer recognize your SD.
2. Click the Start button on your PC. Click Run.
3. Type "cmd" (without the quotes)
4. Type "diskpart"
5. Type "list volume" and note the drive letter or volume number associated with the SD
6. Type "select volume #" where # is the drive letter or volume # associated with the SD
7. Type "attributes disk clear readonly"
You should be able to write to the SD again.
Tried sd insight. It's definitely the real thing.....
Going to back it up tomorrow
Sounds like a good option to try! I'll let you know...thanks so far!

Passport Silver Edition SQW-100-4 / 10.3.3.2206
No!
SD card controllers do this when they detect errors that might impact data integrity.
The card is junk - get the data off it immediately and replace it. If you manage to clear the readonly flag (it probably won't work) you are risking data loss or corruption as you are intentionally bypassing a safety feature the card's controller has implemented.
