    Hello all,

First let me say I'm new to BB, and I'm having an issue with the Red notification led not working when receiving email, BBM, etc. I checked app settings for email, BBM, and texts and all are set to normal. Not sure if there is something else in setting that I am missing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Maybe those apps are set to white.

You might need to manually set each app to red loll

I think all my apps are set to white by default. That's android for you.

You'd need to open the app and go into the settings and within the notifications option, you should be able to set the ring tone, vibration, and light and other behaviours.

I know that there is only one light, the problem is that the one light is not flashing when a notification arrives.

And do they give you the option to set the light color?

You have to manually select red bro

I noticed most apps default to white or blue.

    Example for whatsapp

OK it looks like you are going into the settings of the phone.

You need to open up the app itself, click on the three dots on the upper right of the app, click settings, then click notifications. From there you can set the light color.

From your screen shots, I do see at the very bottom, "app settings". Maybe that will take you to the settings for whatsapp too.

I know it is an asinine way, but this isn't BlackBerry it is android.

It would make more sense to control your notifications universally from the phones settings BUT I have found that it doesn't do anything much.

You have to open up the apps themselves and go into that particular apps settings to set their colors, etc.
