When I am having a call, when my phone is more than 1 cm it automatically reports 5cm and screen turns on. Anyway to restart the sensor or recalibrate it? Is this is the same for dtek 60 owners?

Did some research it seems the sensor is only binary, so it only reports near or far. Anyway to change the near sensor to more than 1 cm?
So the minimum reporting of near should be 2 or 3 cm so my screen doesn't turn on during a call. Anyone understanding what I am trying to explain ?
Does it matter?
What do you mean? Yes every call I have i either mute or drop down the menu so yes it matters. Any solutions?
I have a Classic and have similar issues: I have to hold the base of the phone away from my mouth so that my cheek doesn't touch the screen and mute calls.
The diagnostics on the phone tell me the proximity sensor is working, so I have no idea how to get the thing to work correctly.
So, I just hold the phone on an angle away from my mouth. It's crude, but it works.
Just check on my Dtek60 and it turns the screen off/on at about 2cm.
