Great news. This could be phone that makes me switch to Android. Currently using Passport, but I'm finding I can do less and less with it.

I am very impressed with what I've seen and read. I am not in the position to buy one right now. Going to keep hammering along with my Z30 for a while. Or till my banking and news apps start to fail.

Hi.. tell us about the battery life once you've used it for a few hours . I've a dtek50 and that's the biggest complaint even though it's gotten better after the latest update. I'd like to know whether it can get me through till 10pm with heavy use.

I think battery life tests need to wait a day or two for synch, patches, updates etc to be completed. Probably second or even third day is a better test.
I would expect mine to drain I'm a few hours once I hit it all the email accounts etc.

If the battery is as good or better than my Z30s battery and if there's a dark theme and the swipe keyboard I'm nearly sold on this device. Shame that the German price is ridiculously high compared to the US price of this device.

I was surprised to see positive reviews for this phone. Especially given their current position (i.e. just killed hw, last nail in coffin references, etc)

All seem balanced & biased free.. Except for Engadget.. I mean the specs are out and the guy says "I think it comes with 16Gb of storage.." Really?
Waiting for the device launch in UAE . Shall go for it .

A little more in depth compared to the DTEK50 and Priv since you use them all?

Mine comes tomorrow. The specs look great and I like my Dtek50. Does it behave higher end? Is it lots heavier?

The Priv is a whole different animal. If you don't want a pkb, then you have no business looking at one now.

The two DTEK's are solidly built, lightweight, and perform well - no rattles, or squeaks with excellent fit and finish. The 60 is obviously a spec monster, but for most tasks the 50 is more than sufficient. I have no hesitation to recommend either.

The cameras are all good, as I would never use a phone for super low light situations anyway.

Given that the Priv is for $299 around (AT&T unlocked) and will not get all updates from BlackBerry, is the 60 worth the extra $200? Overall?

The Priv is a lot heavier. If you don't NEED the keyboard, then I would pay the extra. The 60 seems better on battery too.

First full day with DTEK60. Although anecdotal and far from scientific, I am at 13hrs (with 5.5hrs SOT) with 15% left.
