Okay. After leaving BlackBerry from a 10 year stint to join IOS dark side, now back to Black Droid. WHY is there such a battery difference?? IPhone can go for days without worrying about dying. I spend more time worrying about Dtek60 losing battery than anything else. I feel like I'm always having to make sure I'm good. Seems odd that as a business man I should have to spend time with this.

Is it simply more computing power? If so I digress.

iOS is in house chip sets built to run a less intrusive and resource hungry OS. When the chips are optimized specifically for the OS it tends to be a bit more careful with power consumption. Plus standby on iOS is second to none.

You just mean purely in a standby mode not being used at all? Because people I know with iPhones don't ever seem to go anywhere without a charger.

Usage and battery varies from person to person and network to network. Great phone battery but horrid coverage can make any device seem terrible with battery life. I average 5 plus hours screen on time with my OnePlus 3T on T-Mobile. I had an iPhone 6s Plus that was terrible on Sprint for batter.

    I do appreciate the insight.
I do notice less consumption if I turn off blue tooth and wifi. Unfortunately my blue tooth watch and car phone rely on Dtek connection.

I am hopeful K1 will do a better job at battery consumption.

    Thanks for clarifying difference.
