That detail is amazing! I swear I can see the texture of the foods! I can see the cream of the peanut butter and the gelatinous ridges of the jelly. Awesome, awesome, awesome!! Hopefully, future software updates would continue to make the camera better. Have you tried the 4k video recording yet? From what I have seen, it's awesome! It looks like your looking at the scene as you were physically there.

Did the update today to the camera app and tried taking some pics again around sunset. You wouldn't know it could be winter here with up around 70 degree weather . I feel these turned out looking vivid compared to shots I had taken prior.

Since they aren't making any more phones, it's a moot point.
They still need the software assuming they are trying to licence devices out and that wasn't just Chen being full of **** again.

Unlikely they would tune some other vendor's camera.

So who makes the camera app and optimizes everything and maintains it?

Ask the designer, manufacturer, and distributor of the device.

So they licence BlackBerry Android but not the camera app?
Things are getting bad in here, you used to be the most optimistic one haha.

For example, the camera app is not in the HUB+ suite. The camera/phone vendor takes care of that.

I'm still optimistic for BlackBerry's recovery, but I remain unsure on its ability to be successful in the licencing business.

But now that I have my DTEK60, I'm good for another year or so. Lol.

True but isn't their plan to licence the OS which includes everything? Yes i know Chen didn't lay out the plan and just muddied it up by opening his mouth but that would be the assumption wouldn't it?

Apparently the hardened-OS will be an option for the licencee. But I don't think this has anything to do with the manufacturer's choice of camera hardware/software.

The last 2 pics are really detailed realistic photos. Those are really nice shots. The DTEK60 does a real good job, very natural looking and high detail.

Totally agree! Not perfect or close to like a Samsung or iPhone... but not bad at all.

Makes even want the DTEK60 over the DTEK50 now! Just need the price to drop a bit. =P

DTEK60 Camera is quicker ,much quicker and the flash is better and not so changeable then the Nokia pictures. Also the Nokia has more time to take a picture with moving object and that are not the best pics but when you have made a picture with the Nokia Lumia it's sharper outdoor.
