I was checking out the picture quality between the PRIV, Passport, DTEK50, DTEK60 and Z30 last night and the DTEK60 seemed to have the better camera it focused a lot faster and the pictures looked better, I would say best in order 60, PRIV, 50, Passport then Z30.

There is always a downside to blackberry and the very big downside of the dtek60 happens to be the camera.

The dark space in the background is brighter in the picture from the DTEK60.Pictures taken with the DTEK60-img_20161029_0444184.jpg

    From dx0mark:

"With consistent good performance for both stills and video, the TCL 950 is a solid all-rounder for the smartphone photography enthusiast."

It's far from a 'very big downside' IMO. Also, some of the comparisons here and pretty much anywhere aren't realistic scenarios anyway. Everyone is setting up their pics and posting them. For example: The Passport camera is awesome when capturing a still object, but it falls to pieces when trying to capture anything moving.

In your eyes maybe not but in others and most likely a lot of others it is a big downside.

I wish the camera on my Priv would focus right away instead I have to move the phone forwards and back a few times to get it focused when taking a picture about 3-6" away, pisses me off
Might be because you're within its minimum focusing distance limits. Every lens has one.

Did you read the review I posted?

It's the only objective info we have, and it is very good.

My question is why was my dtek using ISO 420 on a flash shot when my passport was using ISO 74.

Maybe flash was not timed with shutter? Something was happening.

Anyway if others have some pictures I would love see them.

Might be your scene selection. Faster ISO means faster shutter for action mode. Check that and try again.

No, the originals are not grainy; it's only once they are reposted on CB that they become grainy.

Gotcha. Some of the same shots you posted here looks the same on your Instagram. But other ones look really vibrant, detailed and clear (taken from the Priv).

Yes, in 2016, cellphone camera quality is critical. I have the Z30, the Passport SE, and the Priv. The Passport rear camera is very good, and the Priv 18MP camera with Schneider-Kreuznach lens is excellent. The 2MP front cameras, however, are mediocre.

The quality of both cameras on the DTEK60 is critical, particularly when there are a lot of good Android devices with excellent cameras available.
Pretty much. I mean if you're paying for it as a feature on your smartphone it should. Especially considering photos have become a huge part of communication and social nowadays (photography itself, instagram, Facebook, Facetime, Google Hangouts, WhatsApp, and the list goes on and on).

OK, thanks for checking out my Priv photos on my Instagram page! Yes, there is a bit of a range of photo quality, but in general the Priv takes excellent photos!
