    Hi all,

I've never had this with any phone before so I'm seeking some advice.

Put my DTEK60 onto its first overnight charge with the stock charger, went to sleep, then my dad woke me up at 7:15 as my 6:30 alarm had not gone off. The phone had shut itself down.

    Any ideas? Haha

Did you connected your cable right to charge, maybe the battery was almost dry and it didn't charge. It happens me also before using a passport cradle and seems the next day battery was empty. I find out sometimes it was not straight in the cradle. I also had this one or twice with a cable with my z30 and it was a clou till i find out to check the indicator, it's what I always mostly do. .

So I always check when i plugged in my device if the icons (flash) appears blinking. Then I know I'm good. So that is the only explanation I have in experience.

It does not sound very good... A rogue app using up system resources and discharging the phone faster than it charged? Was the battery at 0 level of charge?

    Thanks for the replies guys.

I turned the phone on with the power key this morning and the battery was 100% charged. I placed it on charge at 5%.

Last night I pulled out my phone and realized it had shut itself off. I assume it was some "bug" and the phone shut down, but not restarted. I simply powered it on and all was well. Of course in your case if you are using it as an alarm, that would not work. But I have seen this behavior once.

Happened to me as well the day after I got it using the Blackberry Quick charger and cable which came with the bundle. I switched to a different cable and charger block have not had a issue since.

Yeah looking that way. Just put it on the quick charger for 10mins and it restarted this time and started making a clicking sound at the boot PIN screen.
