Was not excited about moving away from my Z10 and BB10, but the new HP Elite x3 with W10 Mobile looks pretty darn nice. As I am working on a new product that will use both QNX and Windows 10, I found many advantages in moving to this phone. A big plus is the integration with my employers new Global Office 365 and the ability to create one app that would work on both a workstation and mobile device (and surface tablet).

I was all set to buy when I found that there is no BBM for Win 10 Mobile. ARGH!!

Dang it BlackBerry. Do you have some secret marriage to Google we don't know about? I mean, come on, BBM for Win 8 but not 10!?! So now I find there are only two choices since BBM is critical to me: Crapple or Rustiod. And NO, I will not use WhatsThat or any other app that exposes my phone number and possibly other private info.

I will not use Crapple. I will not use Crapple baa, baa.

So if I have to use Rustoid, I might as well use the child of BlackBerry and Googles affair.

The DTEK60: Any personal reviews from the loyal BlackBerry users who have been slapped by BlackBerry, over and over?

You'll need to give folks time to order and receive their phones if you want reviews... from other than reviews like Bla1ze.

But yes... there are basically two surviving mobile platforms,

Real shame.. BB10 was killed in its infancy. So much potential laid before it. :-(

    Oh well... C'est la vie

Dtek60= Dtek50 + +, i.e. bigger and faster with fingerprint sensors so you can unlock easier. Pretty much all you really need to know. I mean they look exactly the same.

You can say that about lots of stuff.. Beta, WebOS, the market chose what they chose.

In this case it was totally Blackberrys fault. They had a great OS, but failed to create apps to draw people in. They thought all the developers would that. Can't get people including developers to jump in if you don't show what it can do and commitment to the platform. Additionally, marketing. They have more marketing for their android based devices then they ever did for the BB10 Devices.

Windows is also at the bottom of the stack, but they have shown commitment and have created many apps for their platform. They will rise, maybe not to the level of Android, but certainly enough to stay viable.

I will look at the DTEK50 as a reference to the 60 until someone does an unbox and others get hands on.
