after all the troubles and dismal outlook surrounding BlackBerry and it's phones, but I just purchased a DTEK60!
My Passport just recently crapped out and I was just about ready to pull the trigger on a Pixel XL but the staggering price was holding me back. After much todoo I had decided against an Iphone 7 and figured I was going to Android. I have been a sole BlackBerry user for the last 8-10 years or so.
It was the specs of the DTEK60 along with the more reasonable price that persuaded me to make the purchase. If the phone was another $150 more I don't think I would have done it. Another factor in deciding was the instant availability of the DTEK60.
I surely hope I won't regret my decision. Maybe my purchase will help out my dismal BlackBerry stocks! Lol!
    Gotta say I'm nervous!

ShopBlackBerry UK are selling for 475. I bought the Z10 for 480 when it came out. If DTEK60 was over 500, I would've stalled. 475 seemed reasonable to me so I bought three.

Well I've had my new Dtek 60 for a week or so now and I can say so far I'm relatively pleased. There's a pretty big learning curve involved being brand new to android but I'm progressing. I think the speed of the phone and all the available apps is awesome. I wish the phone was more mainstream so accessories were more available and I'm a bit worried that BlackBerry support will be less than needed but have no complaints yet. Google tracking and permission stuff is mind boggling.

Went from Z30 to DTEK60 the day they were released. Excellent phone, once you get familiar with android as delivered by BlackBerry. Large, bright screen, terrific speakers, excellent camera (real world use, not hammering specs). What the Z30 could have been if BlackBerry had not abandoned BB10.

With T-Mobile, so I now have unlimited data and mobile hotspot, and all good so far.

Thanks for the comments! I too have had the fantastic Z30, as well as the Passport SE and the Priv.

You took the words right out of my mouth; I still miss the Z30 and OS10 even thought I have the Android Priv.

I somehow think the DTEK60 is what might have come after the Z30 : i.e. the Z50....

I moved from the Z30 to DTEK 60. It is a great phone, even if I am still on the learning curve with Android. Did the first update earlier today, and no problems. Also received an invite to Beta zone, but I will pass and only install official updates. Blackberry has a real winner with this phone. Now if they would only advertise it, I believe they could re gain some market share.

What don't you like about it?
Simplicity of use of OS10, lack of gestures and having to learn buttons or relearn I find the OS cluttered and have to use more steps to get things done.
