I believe for the Dtek Phones nothing.....

i highly urge every single Dtek user to write via twitter or fb or mail to BBMobile....

fed up with getting no information on future updates, bought my DTEK at a german online retailer who sells phones from different manufacturers i.e. Apple, Samsung and so on and BB tells me that this retailer will provide updates to my phone??? No this is ridiculous....

Although, we don't know officially whether BlackBerry is skipping the DTEK devices this month as well, I do commend your efforts. Doubt you'll get a useful response back though.

BlackBerry Mobile is not involved with the DTEKs. It's BlackBerry you would need to contact.

I think bbmobile is not responsible for DTEK series , they only responsible for KeyOne for now

May I suggest that we tag all communication via social media with #DTEK60 ? Let's get this on their radar. Or at least annoy them to the point that they have to respond. I'm also tweet #Nougat because IMO they should have deployed that update as well. Been tweeting to @BBSIRT, @blackberry, @blackberryhelp

I have tried blackberry and have been advised that the phone is beyond the 30 day return period. Technical support have not seen able to confirm that security updates are / will continue to come.

The phone is misold I am going to try a refund through Visa / Mastercard credit card protection.

Does anybody else have any ideas?

It really is a shame as I do so like this phone ... I just want an adequate level of on going support with it as this is what was indicated would be on place at time of purchase.

how many dtek60 were sold ? i doubt even a complete 1000. Being ignored doesn't seem surprising to me at least.

I have tagged BBSIRT replying to one of their posts about security, I doubt it will make any difference... but I agree with conite the panic button doesn't need to be pushed quite yet, my frustration is / has always been lack of communication. No info from BBSIRT and BBHELP say that the update has gone out and they know of no issues... blind leading they blind causing confusion and consumer irritation.

No official from Blackberry or TCL/Blackberry Mobile will give you a definitive answer as to the status of the Dtek phone. if they came out and told you that support and updates have stopped that would turn people away from buying their last hope product which is Keyone.
The spokespeople here will continue with their speculation and lead people on to give false hope to potential Keyone customers. It's only natural to expect that as Keyone advertising is the #1 source of revenue for the forum.

What will happen in July ?

I will keep walking in my life taking care of my work and family. I will keep lurking on Crackberry hoping to read about security updates. I will clean up dust gathered in case cover of my DTEK 60 on Sunday and as always, I shall admire how beautiful this amazing device looks before putting it back in case.

Basically, I've stopped expecting from BlackBerry to keep me updated security wise , it feels better tbh.

right now even a german news site picks up the topic of missing blackberry updates

    https://www.heise.de/newsticker/meld...s-3771277.html

hope some english tech news sites do the same, maybe we then get an answer. If they just say, no we won't deploy any updates, thats fine....october is not far away with new android devices arriving...i reconsider not selling the dtek. I'll keep it in my drawer to remind me what manufacturer I'll should avoid for the future
