Hi I just did a O/S reload as per the KB on blackberry.com. Everything seemed to go good and there wasn't any errors, but my DTEK60 just shut off after and no matter what I do (hold down the power button or the power + volume down, charge it) it wont turn on. The batter power was 100% before starting so it shouldn't be drained.

I did the reload because my phone wasn't always being response when I tried to wake it up. Often I would have to repeatedly press the power button, convenience button, etc.. and then it would just randomly come on a min or two later. Other times it would work fine. I tried a hard reset and factory reset before doing the o/s reload.

What can I try or do next? Thanks for any help

What file did you use to reload?

I used the one from Blackberry.com:
    STV100-1, STV100-2, STV100-3 & STV100-4
Use this if you bought your device direct from BlackBerry or through a carrier other than those listed below. AAQ280

It might be the case that you flashed an older autoloader over newer version of OS.

I've been through such a situation. But I had to wait until an autoloader of an exact version that I had appeared. Also a newer version will do as well.

    These are for the Priv.

Try power button and volume UP, and then use the DTEK60 autoloader.

Thanks conite, sorry my posts seem to be delayed hours until they are approved by a mod, which is pretty frustrating when I'm trying to work through this...

Anyways, the Power+Volume Up works *most* of the time, however when I select Reboot into Fastboot, the screen just goes off and then nothing ever happens.

I've downloaded what I believe is the proper DTEK60 autoloader now (AAW609 from mega.nz) and when I run it I get logs such as the following but even though it eventually completes, my phone is no better off. What am I doing wrong?

That bootloader menu IS fastboot mode.

You must be in that mode before running the autoloader.

So I finally got it to work. Thanks everyone for their help.

When I was able to put my phone into fastboot and then run the autoloader, the phone would just go black and the script would show the following (waiting for device):

I think my main challenge was that my phone didn't seem to be charging even though I had it plugged into the wall charger for hours before. I then had to hold down the power + volume up for 30 seconds and then it would reconnect and resume off the autoloader.

Unfortunately after getting the O/S reloaded it still hasn't helped my original problems of my phone wasn't always being response when I tried to wake it up. Often I would have to repeatedly press the power button, convenience button, etc.. and then it would just randomly come on a min or two later. Other times it would work fine. Or it would just randomly reboot or power off even though I have 20%, 30%+ battery life and now it even seems more finicky with charging. Sometimes it wont charge at all other times it wont fully charge. The phone is only 1 1/2 years old, so pretty disappointed it has only lasted that long. But unless there are any other suggestions, looks like I have to get a new phone...

But do you think the battery is the cause of all my problems? I don't want to put any money into this phone if it is still going to have problems waking up...
