    As far as I can tell, the only hardware difference is the Idol 4S uses the Snapdragon 652 while the DTEK60 uses the Snapdragon 820; the DTEK60 has the edge there.

    Doesn't the dtek60 have several major upgrades - SD820 and screen being the biggest ones.

    Why compare to a Idol 4s?

    Performance is comparable to a Pixel XL or S7 Edge (apart from the camera which is not quite as nice).

    The more accurate comparo would be with the Idol 4S with Windows. Same specs except for the 60's QHD display vs. FHD on the Windows version.

    Cause my first perception was the DTEK60 is based on Idol4s. Hadn't caught the processor difference yet.

    Because that's an Idol 4 Plus, not an Idol 4S.

    The TCL950 is the closest match to the DTEK60 in the TCL world. Although the DTEK60 has a QHD screen.

    You pay extra for BlackBerry hardened Android and the BlackBerry apps.
