I had a little bit of time this afternoon to take some pictures with my DTEK60 and Galaxy S7 for comparisons sake. I know that a few have asked for these, so I wanted to get them up. There are reduced 80% from the original as I couldn't get the full quality images to upload (which is certainly understandable).

I am far from a professional photographer myself, but I do find the S7 shots markedly better. Anyone else want to add to this?

I like the last picture better from the DTEK60 and the first one looks the same so I asked my two kids and it seems they liked the DTEK60 better with the first and last picture. So seems a win for DTEK

Well in the middle photo you can see the dynamic range on the S7 is much better.

The other two photos I can't see too much of a difference to be honest, just personal preferences on color temp.

If you crop in 100% maybe you can see which captures more detail - this might actually go to the dtek60 since it has more pixels.

I'm positive the auto focus and low light on the S7 is superior though, even though these are not compared here.

That camera is still holding its own to new phones like the iphone 7 and pixel.

Yes, the first and third are nearly a wash for sure. I'm not if the cloud in the background on the second picture was more troublesome for the DTEK than the S7 or if I should have taken a second picture to make sure it wasn't something that I did.

I was surprised how close the performance was between the two, especially based on what others have said here. I'll get to taking more pictures in the future. I'm not hugely into taking pictures except when I'm on vacation !

Thanks very much for the comparison! I have the Priv and am considering an upgrade to the DTEK60!

I'd say it's about on par with the Priv. I have quite a few examples I took with the Priv, but I don't have any that are in the exact same environment as these shots. I would say it's about on par with the Priv in my limited testing so far.

There really is no point to this. The crackberry App condenses and reduces the quality of the pictures. To be honest all 6 look awful. Use imgur to host your pics

You know, for the dtek to be taking out pictures and even comparing them to the s7 is showing how this thing is punching above its weight,

People go and say one plus 3 is the phone to get , I say it's the dtek simply because it's guaranteed software updates and software improvements is guaranteed.

It's a brilliant device, thanks for the comparison.

Surprisingly close. But yeah, s7 edges out as the winner. But still!
