Went to the toilet, phone in back jean pocket, pulled down jeans, phone popped out straight into toilet bowl!

Took phone from toilet, removed case, powered-off, dried with towel then hair dryer. Focused on type-c port, headphone jack and speaker grills.

24 hours later, powered on, everything works, green tinge during phone boot. Powered off, will test again in 24 hours.

Put it in a sealed bag of rice in a warm place like a hot press. This happened to a friend of mine in the past and that was his remedy. The rice must be uncooked 😎

Rice can be a god send. Oatmeal works too. The uncut, unrolled kind. Otherwise far to messy.

I'd put it in a bag of rice every time you visit the toilet, just to be on the safe side.

Get some silica kitty litter. Put it in a sealed bag with the phone and don't press all the air out. Then warm up the bag with a hair dryer on low. The silica kitty litter will absorb all the moisture. Old trick we used to use at the stereo shop.

UPDATE: Damage mainly with screen digitizer. Screen flickers from time to time, screen brightness adjust no longer works and proximity sensor not working. Everything else seems OK.

If it wasn't so costly, I would get the screen/ digitizer replaced.
