Well based upon some the sites above its going for $632. It's only $33 more, which is not much. Pretty close to $599. I think that is a very fair price in CAD. If you do the exchange on that it's actually $483 US.

I would suspect that any device not being sold through a carrier, or specifically branded as such, would be factory unlocked at this stage.
