    Hi all,

So I dropped my DTEK60 a while ago and there is a bit of cracking at the bottom of the screen (see pic). It remained functional for over a month at least. Then, within 24 hours the screen started to stop responding to anything. Buttons work but I simply can not even enter a PW as the screen does not react.

The guy at a shop tells me that that crack is the cause of this as "the screen can no longer calibrate"??? Seriously, could it be that the screen as a result of the drop&cracks stops working after over a month?

It's just that I would really really like to be able to at least export my BB Password Keeper file....

Get a USB-C to regular USB adapter and plug a mouse or keyboard in

Even the bootloader reacts to USB attached devices?

Honestly, I have no idea, but I'm guessing no.

But why would you need a USB device connected on the bootloader anyway?

Because I can't even get Android to start as I can not enter the password as the virtual keyboard does not react to my putting my fingers on them.

Maybe "bootloader" is the wrong term though.

Bootloader = that screen you navigate with the physical buttons (vol.up/down, pwr)

You're stuck after the bootloader, so USB devices should work

In theory, given how Android does FDE, it may work. The kernel is running at the point you get asked for the FDE password.

Yeah, so I got the terminology a bit wrong but the important thing is: It works! Many thanks for this simple yet brilliant idea.
