With all the Android offerings, BlackBerry is not even mentioned in this site. Is this a deliberate attempt to discredit BlackBerry? The last time this site had a good review with BlackBerry was with the Passport.

It's simply a deliberate attempt to focus on those brands which are relevant in the consumer market. With less than 0.5 per cent market share and at less than bargain pricing, BlackBerry is simply not one of them.

This Indian deal is interesting - I am guessing this is the licencee IF dtek50 and 60 sell - if they don't, they don't sign.

Oh, I never said a review. Just an article. There are and were articles from Droid-Life, Androd Authority, Phandroid, Phonearena. They just basically said it was available for pre-order, and that it was available for purchase.

Well.. every time someone like John or I tracks these numbers we are told we are idiots or its inaccurate and that phone X is a great seller... then the earnings call comes around and they announce another bomb.

So I'll just say that *relative* to the other phones I've tracked this way - it's very very slow and as John says getting slower.

Starting to see more places carry the DTEK60, which goes against the hearsay that they've pulled it from everyone due to them wanting to kill it and selling it only through shopbb... oh well. Funny how some of the same people who will consistently criticize people for listening to rumors about new devices coming (or anything positive for that matter) automatically called that rumor credible and started spouting it as if it was the truth... Hypocrites entertain me a bit... :-D

The DTEK60 is about 67% more expensive than the DTEK50 in the global markets.
In India, the DTEK60 is 113% more expensive than the DTEK50.
Which is the crazy part. The DTEK50 pricing isn't that bad. The DTEK60 on the other hand is atrocious.
But people feel BlackBerry wants to apply the demand supply fundamentals specifically to India and we always complaining.
I'd like to see the same thing happening in US or Canada and then let's see whether people complain or not.

No one even knows this device launched. It will fail miserably in terms of sales. Even the PRIV generated a small bit of talk out of the gate. This, crickets.

Early days but glad to see the 50 still being bought, hopefully the 60 does better. It's not too late for BlackBerry to start making some noise about it, however little. Cos frankly, the brand has been hurt and people are gonna see it and just look away....except it's pushed by the sellers or some other forms just to get more people to pay a bit more attention to it....fortunately, it's a good device that some could take a risk with considering its price

Carrier support? Not with this device. It's only available to buy outright. Perhaps in the near future

Wouldn't get too excited about the Clove UK top 10 chart which has the 50 at no. 8 & the 60 at no. 3.
