Well if they keep up with all the updates and timely patches and stay ahead of everyone I think it would be a big draw for those who like that sorta thing.

USA? Probably something between 500 and 600$. In Europe, it works this way: take the American price, apply a 1:1 exchange rate, the apply an unexplicable "tax for living in Europe, you moron!", and you're done. That's why, while BlackBerry still manages to sell some devices in the USA and Canada, that doesn't happen in Europe. For example, you pay the DTEK 50 just 300$, while we must cough up 370€ (=410$ circa, which automatically exclude the DTEK from competing in its price range), the same goes for the PRIV (850€ retail price, now decreased to something like 650€, 550€ street price).

$499 = $379 USD. Less $100 for BlackBerry hardening and apps, leaves $279 for the flagship hardware.

    Enjoy your DTEK50.

Blaze, u r the only connection to bbry mgmt. Please get it through their head that It can't be priced more than $400 MAXIMUM. As we have seenn over last 4 years, consumers and enterprise is not all about privacy and security. in few years I'm ok with pricing security as premium but at this stage where it's not a strict requirement I think bbry needs to be careful. Stupid mgmt screwed up the Priv, no way they can price this $300 for 500..just for adding a security. If they do, I promise that reviewers and consumers will revolt making the dtek60 irrelevant like the BB10 phones.

Incompetent mgmt at blackberry, get it through ur thick head that dtek60 can't be priced $200 over. Don't be greedy and stupid. Everyone, including ur fans, will revolt and take u guys down. I promise.

The TCL950 is priced at $399. BlackBerry need to add their stuff to it for about $100. No way this will be $400. Impossible.

Absolute best case scenario is $449, but $499 more likely.

If you or a business is on a budget, get the DTEK50 for $299.

That VR headset costs TCL almost nothing. No way BlackBerry will get the phone anywhere near $300.

Depends on if the $100 was a fixed cost or a percentage of markup.... higher cost product might mean their "markup" is higher too.

BlackBerry value add costs $100 over DTEK50 list. That might mean it's actually $150 more than the device, which they get at a $50 discount.

There isn't much margin on these Chinese phones.

Cut it any way you want, but BlackBerry wants $100 over list to sell their version. I would suspect the same for the DTEK60.

Since it follows the Axon7 pretty closely spec wise it should be in the same price range. We all know that it will be overpriced from that, however.
