What do you guys think the DTEK60 would be priced at? Or how much should it be priced according to your opinion?

According to me it should be priced at 399-449$ . The hardware is great plus the BlackBerry add-ons will give that price bracket a hit spot!

Would you buy if it's priced at 499$ US or higher?

$399 USD is what it should be.. add on the 'BlackBerry tax' and $450+ USD is likely where it'll end up.

Isn't the 950 for $399? Given that they added $100 for the DTEK50 why do you think it will be different for the 60?
Basically I think it will be $499 although $449 would be sweet.

It will be closer to $500 with those specs. lol @ $300-$400, BB will never make devices for razor thin margins just to get them in people's hands.

Went with their lowest possible price. I have zero hope they'll go under $450 lol. Beyond that, though, sure. DTEK50 was the closest BlackBerry ever came to a device being priced 'reasonably' out of the gates. They haven't quite grasped the whole don't scare them off with sticker shock thing.

and for those of us in Canada, BlackBerry's homeland, add the "Syrup Tax" and it's $699 CAD (most likely)

But it's not going to happen
Even $449 is unlikely (0.01% chance maybe)

Everyone is speaking in different currencies.

    DTEK 50
    USD $299
    CAD $439

    DTEK 60
    USD$399, $449 or more likely $499
    CAD $599 $649 or $699

I would be content with middle prices, the top end I think is too high and I would be less interested and anything higher forget about it.

Well given the Dtek 50 is $399 from BlackBerry $430 at staples and $450 at telus my best guess is $499 to start but I can see it being $599 after the before mentioned (syrup tax)
My perspective on the pricing for the Dtek60 $499 and with the priv at $559 you fill in the (PKB) gap that people like me want and there is still the classic till it's run out and that's $550
The Priv is still listed for $890 on telus and I still think that is waaaaaaaaaay to much.

They should have done this all in reverse order in regards to there whole marketing strategy on the last 3 handsets running Android.
start off with the lower end phones work up to releasing the higher end set and if you look at the timing you got samsung and apple putting out there newest best stuff right now.
BlackBerry has (is) outta sync with the flow of everything handset and it's killing it and that sucks.

low end phones don't get much publicity, alot of sites won't review them unless its from a big name OEM, so thats why they went with high end PRIV, just the pricing was $100 too high.

I'd hope they could sell it for $399 Canadian. I know it won't happen but if they could sell it at a break even price, I think they'd sell a lot more of them. It would be twice as good if they lowered the price of the 50 at the launch of the 60. Get the devices out there and cross your fingers.
