It's kinda sad, when even the retailers are not sure about the launch date.
Heh-heh... Who can blame them. I'm not sure even BB are sure of the launch date!
I'm starting to wonder if it will come at all. I was sure BB would release it (he's already spent the production money) ... now I'm wondering if BB can't even bring themselves to spend even a few more $$$ marketing the thing.
Quite disappointing to see this down from B&H phone. But its gotta be coming soon for them to even go through the trouble of having it listed and ready to publish. Oh well. I guess we wait more.

Might be cheaper to sell them all off as surplus, would help with getting it off the books by the end of the fiscal year. Even if he sold them at cost, that might save them in distribution, sales and maybe even warranty/support expenses (as they would not be officially release BlackBerry phones)
More likely they pushed the release date back for some reason, and some retailers didn't get the memo.

Not sad.. Actually a good thing when you know the real reason they don't know lol. It was hard set for one date internally and for retailers and it was switched. Some retailers had time to adjust their stuff, others didn't. Hence seeing some of them go live early.
Improved marketing for the device over what was initially planned.
Lol, you're right ... We don't believe you.
Smart ... I'd imagine the last minute improved marketing stance is in response to the Note 7 disaster. There's going to be a lot of people looking for alternatives.
My guess is they yanked it to re-message given the Samsung explodo-phone debacle.
It's an excellent opportunity but has to be managed wisely in how you market to it. Done wrong it would blow up in your face; done right, however, the conversion rate could be VERY high.

I doubt people would really convert from a Note to a DTEK60. They'd rather pick up the S7 or S7 edge
Just my opinion though

Actually I saw a survey that there was a surprisingly large number of Samsung owners who said they would not buy another Samsung phone. If they know it exists there are going to be some of these disenfranchised customers who will want the DTEK60. It has good specs and looks good from the leaked photos. The price is not bad at all either especially considering the specs and the reliable BlackBerry updates.
