I definitely hope the marketing and the whole Samsung debacle gives them more traction!
I think with some marketing the phone will have a decent shot in the asian region at least

Just to add more speculation/rumour has anyone seen this The BlackBerry DTEK60 in a nutshell - Tech Addicts UK .According to this article the dtek60 is not due to be announced until 11th november. Hope the link works :-) its my first time posting one !

November 11 is Remembrance Day in Canada and Veterans Day in the US, so I think the other dates mentioned, October 17 or 24, are more likely.

I'd love if BlackBerry could maybe do a really nice 15 second advert with: "Introducing BlackBerry DTek60, everything you'd expect in a phone: 4GB RAM, 21/8MP cameras, SD card slot, best in class keyboard, and legendary headphone jack. Well, everything except for exploding in flames. Buy now at major retail stores."

I would LOVE that. Okay don't judge me I'm just an 18 year old. :'( But for real that would be hilarious AND effective.

I've seen two items that suggest the DTEK60 may be released next week:

The Hantec website has it up for pre-order and says "Expected Release W/C [Week Commencing] 17th Oct 2016".

I can't find the post now, but in one of the DTEK60 threads Bla1ze said that the reason for the delay was that BlackBerry was improving their marketing plans.

Go to the BH pre-order article and scroll through the comments: someone who was always a 100% reliable source left the comment there when he was asked about expected time frame of release.

It means this website intended for people for looking up APN settings is getting ready for the impending release of the DTEK60. These are the APN settings for Telus Mobility, one of the major carriers in Canada.

Thanks. I'm with Telus but know nothing about APN settings. I suppose this is a good sign. I've been wanting to upgrade my Classic and I reaaaaally want the DTEK60. I hope it is announced soon.

Hmm... I realise that you are only reporting what someone else has quoted but, the bolded part would worry me if I were waiting for the DTEK60. Hardly an assurance that it'll be next week... or the week after. ;)
