What shows the most lag? Is it the Hub or everything in general?

    Clear your cache and reboot.

    Settings, storage, internal, cached data.

No problems here. Saying that are you running any social media apps? I hear that they can really slow you down.
Also check which apps are running in the background via the apps settings etc.

Defect. With my DTEK60 it was having overall lag opening apps and responding.

Yes rebooting helped. But no need for that with Huawei Mate 9. I think their chip handles multitasking and threading much much better.

Download and installing take less than half the time. I'm guessing 7.0 is also more refined.

    HiSilicon Kirin 960
    Octa-core, 2300 MHz, ARM Cortex-A73 and ARM Cortex-A53, 64-bitOcta-core

I felt like my S7 was sluggish too. SD820, Samsung bloatware, 6.x OS.

I might not be lag but expectation. What may be a fast phone for some could be a sluggish phone for others.

Reboot first. If the problems are still exist, then try to clean cache and reboot it again.
