Just thinking about ease of use with the phone in a case. Even if there is a cutout I can see the raised lip of the case causing difficulties for access?

If it's a case truly built for the DTEK60... shouldn't be an issue.

I use a big clunky purple case on my 5x and the scanner works perfectly. I don't see how the DT60 will be any different.

Just purely based in the fact that unlike most other phones the scanner is on the back so will require a separate hole for it. The hole will need to be sufficiently large enough so that the finger can be scanned effectively and I'm thinking a larger hole than the size of the scanner itself will be required.

If the Dtek60 works like the Nexus 6P, there is no need for swiping.... just placing the finger on the scanner. So no real issue with a case. I had a cheap TPU case on mine.

there are probably 20+ phones with scanners on the back, not sure why anyone thinks this would be different and not work

I have a Nexus 6p and a thick case with a small cutout for the scanner. There are no issues as long as you set the scanner up with the case on. It can read the tip of your finger as easily as the main pad. Seriously, it's not an issue at all.

We'll see. Proof is in the testing as they say.

This is a non issue. The phone doesn't even exist yet and you are coming up with an assumption that isn't relevant with other rear fingerprint scanners and cases.

Not an non-issue at all. So the DTEK60/ Argon doesn't exist then? Okay.

I'm just looking ahead that's all. Looking forward to getting one.
