    why the panic? omg, it's only a small update. the worst thing that's happened to me is I have a notifications on my phone that won't go away saying "couldn't instead system update". it's not really a big deal to me.

    I just ran the update now and it looks like it went through successful, but I think they actually just removed it, since my update level still shows Nov 6

    Just be thankful that it didn't install and brick your phone. There was obviously a problem with the update and BB has pulled it and will re-release it shortly I'm sure. Restart your phone to get rid of the persistent "Update Available" notifications.

    To all of those saying that BB clearly has no idea what they are doing simply because a minor patch didn't install, you should know that update problems are not isolated to Blackberry devices. I still have more faith in Blackberry devices than anything else on the market. Keep up the good work Blackberry!

    This issue is specific to the two DTEK devices.

    Update available just popped up again after disappearing for a few days... and fails with the same "Verification Problem" it was failing with before. Sigh.

    Uninstall the GPS updates. Deactivate "find my device." Then download and install updates.

    This should help with either DTEK.

    Both 50 and 60 updates work fine now.

    GPS is a poor acronym for Google Play Services.

    Regardless, I removed the "GPS" updates and disconnected the "Find my Device" during the prior, failed update but still had the "failed verification" error


    I'm not going through the pain of above suggestion until a successfully update is reported.
