This is a DTEK issue, and a DTEK thread.
Sorry was not clear on Tapatalk. My mistake...

I'm now getting different messages (see my post 12.45pm). But still not able to install.

I see "System update available" and click "Download". It shows "System update downloading ...", then "Couldn't update", and "Verification problem" in th bottom corner. There is a "Try again" option, but the same "Couldn't update" error comes up again.

The WiFi error of earlier today no longer shows.

Correct; if you get it to load with the "current" Play Services version on the phone that's the error you get; the cryptographic checksum is failing.

As I mentioned in the other thread do NOT attempt to run an older autoloader. If you do you will BRICK the phone; there is no current autoloader available and recent updates have set the "anti-rollback" counter in the trust store, which cannot be overwritten.

Just shut off WiFi and download over your mobile phone connection.
    no problem

Shutting off the WiFi and downloading OTA did not work for me.

As I said in an earlier post (11.06pm last night), I am not getting the WiFi error message anymore, now it's "Couldn't update" and "Verification problem".

Suggest patience and just wait for a new update to be sent out.

Yeah, please do listen to what tickerguy says. I have bricked my DTEK60 by my own hands in this way already... I am just happy that I still have my good old Z30, so I am using it hopefully until the issue gets sorted out by TCL.

There isn't one in the wild and delta updates (only the changed bits come down) mean there may not be one available in the future either.

DTEK60 on AT&T in the US. No WiFi issue but getting the verification error. I was amazed to see an update available 2 months in a row - seemed unreal. I guess it was. Excellent work BlackBerry - at least you didn't brick my phone!

Best guess is that someone at BlackBerryMobile signed it with the wrong key (maybe the KeyONE's key.) They have to fix / re-upload it -- until they do there's nothing you can do about it.

    Well there is that.

For now I consider it a mistake... just don't compound it by trying an old autoloader

    Site? Nothing on Crackberry yet.

Sight? I'm sure BlackBerry will reissue the update after fixing it.

Why useless? This problem simply means that the device can't verify the update, so it won't try to install it.

If something else happened to you, it's another issue.

Your version of Google Play Services won't affect that. Feel free to update the app again anyway.
