When I place my DTEK60 face down and look at it from the convenience button site there is a definite gap that centers around that button. When I look at it from the power button side, there is a smaller gap but it's still there and centered just below the power button. So my question is, are our phones somewhat curved or is my phone just bent?

For the record, I've never bent a phone before. I only carry it in my right front pocket and nothing else in that pocket. So I don't even see where it would have been pressured into a bend. But curious what other's are seeing.

The white space above the gold bar should be consistent from the angle that I took the pics. You can see it varies by the two mentioned buttons.

Nope... running it naked. The case included in the bundle felt to "slimy" to me. So not using it either.

So no one else sees any kind of gap if they look at their perpendicular when it's face down?

To me this seems like you're reaching just a tad to find an issue. But that's just me. Take the device back if it cause you this much angst.

Didn't say this phone is crap and I'm not keeping it because it's bent bla bla bla. I love this implementation of Android. This is the phone I landed on after the Note 7 debacle. I'm simply asking if anyone checks do they notice the same thing. The design plays some tricks on the visual as the side bezels are curved. But when laying it flat face down, I can see these issues. Just trying to figure out if others have seen this.

About a week of getting mine I started noticing what looks like a curvature on my phone, got me worried and look at it several times, but decided it was a visual effect due to the bumper case which it's thicker on the top and bottom. Then I got my wife's Dtek60 and couldn't see a difference between both phones. Will take out the cases and find out.

OP, here's my $0.02. Place it on a facedown on a flat surface, and then push gently on the corners. If you don't get any 'wobble', you're fine.

Well how hard is this to judge - are there not any other dtek60 on here who can confirm if the phone is in fact curved? Loll why all the speculation and guess work.

Clearly on his picture the front isn't laying flat on the table.

The LG G4 was curved in this manner - so it could be the same thing.

However, in his case the curves do appear isolated to exactly where the con key and power buttons are...
