I find it amazing (and by that I mean scary) that $$650.00 is considered acceptable for a phone. In the end I'd be stuck paying over $730 for the Dtek60.

I think I'd like it more than the 50. But I can't justify that amount of money.

If your government quit playing around with their economic policy you wouldn't have a crashing Loonie. But you do. That's not BlackBerry's fault, it's yours -- you live there and can vote, but you're addicted to the crazy garbage that's going on in your nation.

$499 US for this device, with this set of specs, is a very fair deal. The Pixel is roughly DOUBLE the price (with the expanded memory, which you need since you can't use an SD card), as is the iPhone and other similar "flagships."

We'll see if it sells, but if it doesn't it won't be due to the pricing.

The great thing about Android is, you can get one for $80. Question is do you want to use it.

Well, I can tell you that I didn't vote for the current government. The last one was far from perfect - but it was far better than who is in office now. And our economic outlook doesn't look to be improving much under Trudeau Jr., that's for sure.

But I'm not blaming BlackBerry at all. They have their reasoning for the price points and that's fine. I'm just saying that, for me, $650 CDN is steep.

Totally Agreed! I don't understand how people can say its steep when you compare it to other phones, the DTEK60 is priced very well. That MotoZ has SD625 lol and the DETK60 has SD820. Moto its selling for $674, DTEK60 for $650, you don't need to be nuclear scientist to figure this one out.

For me personally I could care less for that module that increases my battery life. Plug in before you to sleep every night and your good to go in for the rest of the day. It still doesn't justify for me to spend $674 for an inferior phone compared to the DTEK60 priced at $650 with a bundle as well that give some extra goodies for free. It's a no brainer for me, maybe to some others it isn't.
