I must be a pretty light user doing mostly mechanical work away from the phone today but still managed to squeeze in around 1hr 15min screen on time. Just checked again and it says approx 2 days remaining
Add another hour of screen time, a 20 min phone call, and it's at 75% now

Where is your BlackBerry Hub Services as this seems to be the main drain for me...

Going through my email 'sync settings' I have selected 'Never' and 'Use Push if Supported'.

I reckon this would save battery and is probably why mine was draining more than others as it was set to sync every 5 minutes even though I have Push and that is with 6 email accounts.

I turned off gmail App sync. Hub is set up at 15 mins and if push supported. I think that black wallpaper does make a difference, as it shuts off most screen pixels. I have firefox, greaderpro etc. All at the black theme. So for, this is the best battery performance I have experienced from any phone.

Also confirming great battery life. I'm coming from 4,000mAh on a Huawei Mate 8, and the DTEK60 isn't far off; contextually it might even match it. Huawei was so bad at managing apps and services that I think it blew through battery way faster. It was also a dual sim, which eats battery, and had a larger but lower res screen. Suffice it say, the battery on the DTEK60 looks like it will be more than adequate. The fast charging is also absolutely stellar; knowing that I can probably get to 100% in under an hour in just about any circumstance is very reassuring. The Mate 8 charged like a slug.

Great battery life so far in my experience. Haven't used it as a daily driver at all yet though, but did use it yesterday since I was out of the office. The Android Hub has come a long way since last year. That was a heavy battery user on the Priv, and seems to be much more sorted out now (hopefully, for the sake of Priv owners, it is also sorted out on the Priv now). Hub isn't even a blip on the battery radar, and that is with 6 email accounts syncing 30 days of email via IMAP.

Stupendous battery life! I have been blasting music out of it all day, twittering and emailing. Better than the passport! It's a shame they got the PRIV innards so wrong! Love this phone!

The battery is a beast, I'm getting a solid 15 hrs with 5 hrs + of screen time. Which is better than my s7edge. I was worried at first because it would only last about 13 hrs, but the last 3 days it's been better.

LOL My edge would go 13 hrs on a regular basis and it had a larger battery, I always had to charge it on my way home from work to make sure it would last till bed.

I've still yet to have to charge it at any point during the day or evening.

Right now, average day's use thus far, I'm at 55%.

    Hi Guys,

I have to say that unfortunately, I am not experiencing the same level of performance as what most of you seem to.

I'm checking the battery level and as per above it often states 22 hours left/ 15 hours left and so on. In reality, the end result is not equivalent to what it stated a couple of hours before.

I don't have many apps running but do think that the BlackBerry Hub+ Services is my main drain with 'Keep Awake' time sometimes being rather a lot. What is this based down to - time I'm actually using the Hub, total time for syncing or what?

I have all syncs set to 'Never' and use push if available. Location is off on the main drop down and nearly all other apps.

Why is my performance not the same as all of yours?

I haven't put WhatsApp on my DTEK60 yet, but I last charged it 29 hours ago and it's got 28% left with about 10 hours estimated time left. That's pretty good! But I'll wait until I get WhatsApp on there to put it to the real test

I've found that stand-by time on the phone is excellent, on par if not better and my Passport. In actual usage however it seems to drain a little faster. I need to start using dark themes for as much stuff as I can like you guys all suggest. I forget that on the passport I had dark theme on for everything I possible could. That definitely contributes to use longevity.

Passport is IPS LCD, not AMOLED. Therefore having a dark theme will do nothing for your battery life. Now the DTEK60 With a dark theme will benefit, because it's AMOLED screen.

As a business owner use it all day to text, email and talk. Occasionally get directions or search web for info. It comes off the charger at 6am and have not been under 25% yet by 1030-11. It's only been a week but so far so good. With the phones thin design and light weight, nothing not like for me yet. Coming off a Priv / Classic combo.
