Dang! I don't think I've ever had that good of a battery on any of my phones.
My time is to empty. Just because I was testing.

Also, a lot of my time is spent reading. The Amoled screen stretches out the battery with white on black text.

With my use any phone that lasts 12 hrs I'm happy with, I only got that with bb10 phones, nexus 6 and s7edge. My Priv would only get to 10 before I traded it in for the edge.

Nothing beats my 9930 battery life. Just today it went from 53 to 51 percent charge in 17 hours. Just last week, one charge lasted me a whole week. I use the 9930 every day for reading and some wifi. Dtek60 is great but no modern phone matches the Bold series. Granted, I don't play games or use graphic heavy apps, but a week is still a week!

Can't compare the two. One runs tons of apps other just makes calls, texts email. Apps use a lot of battery power.

For a good battery life, use your DTEK app to find which one use your location excessively ... Let's say Facebook ....just uninstall the app and reinstall without allow locations permission. Going in the app setting to diesable some notification Will help as well.

I continue to be very happy with the Dtek60 battery life. I removed Facebook yesterday since it showed over 900 location checks!! Today I took phone off charger at 6 am. At noon I have 92% left and the battery check app says it will last 3 days !!

Leaving off charger until it's close to 0 to see how far it really lasts.

This is a great device except for the ATT Hotspot issue.

This performance might be up there with the Passport!

Mine didn't even drop 1% overnight, 5 hours mind you. It's gone down only 10% all morning.

I left the DTEK60 off the charger overnight a few nights ago to see what the battery drain situation would be, as I was having a issue with Facebook keeping the phone awake a few days earlier. After dropping permissions wasn't enough to slow the FB battery drain I uninstalled it altogether.

With permissions across all apps optimized to improve battery life I manage a little less than 1% per hour drain. Went to bed at 84% battery and woke up 6.5 hours later to 79% battery life. I'm happy with that -- about on par for other Android devices when I have optimized them similarly.

I customarily block location across the board when the app functions OK with it -- especially when DTEK reveals that an app is particularly hungry to know my location.

Battery Life is excellent. Better then the Priv, as good as the Z30. Charged my phone from 5% in 30 minutes or less to 100%. Forgot to take home the new cables for charging. "C" vs "A", used from 7:30am to !0:00pm, shut off, had 30% in the morning, used till noon, then charged. Was at 14%
I would say excellent battery life. Easy full day for heavy user.

    Hey guys..

I know it's early but does anyone who has a Dtek60 want to weigh in on what batter life is like?

I know this can be subjective and vary quite a bit based on usage but just your general observations is fine.

Also how does it compare to the Dtek50 and Priv in terms of stamina? What's standby/idle drain like?

    Thanks

Came from a Priv. I carry the rapid charger daily however has not used it mid-day. Only charge @ night when sleeping.

Not bad at all, Facebook using quite a bit of battery but assuming you're a somewhat heavy user? I personally dumped the Facebook app for the mobile site instead because of battery use from FB.
