Well, pleased to say that after the update it is now only using 2% p/h without use.
Does that sound the same for everyone else?
Marvellous.

For your music player specifically, or your overall performance. And the November Security Patch? I didn't know that addressed any software issues outside security.
Overall but I'm still only getting 10 hours of medium use before having to recharge and so BlackBerry are sending out a replacement.
That's pretty good. I got like 4 hours of heavy-duty use on my PRIV, so maybe 7 hours with medium use, and about 11 hours light use.
Has anyone tried Pokmon Go on this phone yet?
can you please explain further? Don't I need location on for most of my apps?
And how do I turn off location services in each app?
I have over 70% left in two days. Screen on time has only been 2 hrs tho. Still, this has impressive battery in use and great in standby for me :)
That's actually really good battery life. I'm really impressed with the DTEK60.

I'm not even sure how that happens!!
That's great.
It's only been two days, and I feel that I am a medium heavy user. 40 mins commute with Bluetooth podcasts or streaming, + 4 email accounts and social accts. With z30 I would consistently get to 10% by bedtime. After two days of same usage, I am getting to 30-35% after a day. So, I'm happy!
After about 6 days usage i am getting an average of 6h 15min SOT
I can't figure out how to determine my screen on time. Can someone help?
This is the case for my PRIV: Settings-Battery-Screen-Time On.
Processor is much better equipped to handle running the game with other apps open in comparison to the Priv, but still a huge battery hog. Not as quick of a drain though, plus the rapid charging capabilities (I can fully recharge the battery in less than an hour) definitely make up for it. Very happy when compared to my Priv.
Thanks for actually answering this question! How many hours would you say you get of play time, with the in app battery saver on or off?
The in-app battery saver isn't very helpful for limiting battery usage during active playing, all it does is put up a dark screen when it senses that the phone is set down or turned downward, so I can't really say much there. (The built-in Doze feature for Marshmallow does a lot to restrict battery usage while idle, and this is arguably much more effective at improving battery life.)
I can't give you a definite answer on playing time because I bought my DTEK60 after the weather started getting colder here, so truthfully I don't play long enough to know for certain. If I had to extrapolate from how quickly the battery drains while playing, I would say that it would probably afford maybe as many as 3 hours of continuous gaming, but I don't know for certain.
Spontaneously decided to go play today with the missus, and basically ran my phone into the ground. I was definitely was out for 3+ hours but here are the results of my Pokmon GO stress test:

The best part though is that I've been home for just over 10 minutes and my battery has gone from 3% to 32%. The Quick Charge 3.0 makes all the difference. I have a standard USB power bank but if I pull the trigger on getting one that supports QC 3.0 then I could easily spend an entire day outside playing GO if I wanted to.
Awesome compared to the PRIV. Thanks for going the extra mile to answer this question! :))
Okay something crazy happened today. I've had no battery issues in the past.
My phone was on about 50%, then I put it in the leather pocket and left it there. A little while later, I took the phone out to take a picture and the battery was dead, and my phone was HOT. So I charged it and had a look at the battery usage:

Does anyone have any idea why the WiFi completely rinsed my battery?
Is the battery life on Nouget suppose to be improved?
My battery life is excellent so far, much better than my 2+ year old Z30. I can't remember if it is better than my Z30 when new but I am pleased so far.
Must have been an errant process, my phone did that a few days ago with Bluetooth all of a sudden. Hasn't done it again since, I have no idea what happened.
Probably, most updates bring about better optimization and efficiency.
My phone used to charge in an hour. Now it takes an hour and a half. I sent my dtek60 back to Blackberry and went back to using my dtek50.
