still waiting in vancouver on unlocked phone from Blackberry
What is your Model Number ? BBA100-1 or BBA100-2 ? I believe BBA100-2 models get the update later than BBA100-1
Its BBA 100-2 cos that's what they sold for rest of the world (other than America) . But they shouldn't discriminate the security updates on this basis.
Today there was an update on DTEK60, the update size is 20.1 Mb. After downloading, the installation process started, but it was interrupted and an error appeared, after rebooting the device works, in the update section of the menu it costs 20.1 Mb of updates, but if you start the installation, everything repeats. There is a solution? Sorry for my eng!!!/ATTACH]Attachment 429490Attachment 429491Attachment 429492Attachment 429493Attachment 429494Attachment 429495
I get the same error when I try the install.. tried twice now, same issue.
same here... gave up trying after the third time
I still haven't received any updates at all.
Same error issue after finally getting the August update in on Singtel in Singapore... Frustrating!
I wonder if this has something to do with the earlier issue I encountered when trying to install July update? I.e. I happened to receive a 'fresh'/'out of box' DTEK60 today, with OS version dating back to October 2016 -- it downloaded close to 1.8G worth of updates, and smoothly installed August 5 iteration, no issues whatsoever.
I had no issue installing the update this morning
Got the same error. Meh
Let's tweet to BB about the error then
still waiting
Got the same error.
Same error
DTEK60 Model BBA100-2 (International Version)
Me too...
More like the new impossible.
The question is what do we do now?
First we get the updates late and now we have an installation problem (sic)
Use the May autoloader, and then allow it to update again.

Although it might do the trick, wouldn't you agree that this is not the way the customers will have to update their phones?
Of course not, but no use crying over spilt milk.
The problem may not have been simple or predictable, as the vast majority have updated without issue.
I wouldn't call it crying over spilt milk. I'd rather have BlackBerry adressing the issue properly. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate your help and tips and tricks. But this is what we in Holland refer to as just applying a bandage on the wound, instead of getting rid of the things that are causing the wound.
I didn't mean that in a derogatory way. I simply meant that one can choose to wait some indeterminate period of time, or fix it now.
still no update on Dtek60 :-(
Fair enough [emoji106]
I'll try to let BlackBerry look for a solution. Have contacted them, and now waiting for a reply. Just to give them the chance to analyze and trace the cause of the issue.
Your solutions hopefully will come in handy if I get tired of the waiting. [emoji6]
Yep, it would be great if someone finds a solution that doesn't involve loosing everything and having to reinstall and reconfigure the hole thing..
If you get a reply from BlackBerry, post it here, if you will. Thnx
