Just getting ready to pull the plug on the Dtek50 and now the rumors of the 60 coming out... Kind of rhetorical question... Should I wait or should I get the 50???

Are there any rumors on the cost of the 60? or a possible release date?

I have been dying to get the 50 and are getting tired of waiting.. anyone else in the same boat?

I would wait on the Dtek60. Since they're basing the phone off the Idol 4s and that phone is $399 in the U.S. I would assume that the Dtek60 will be about $499 since the Dtek50 ($299.00) is $100 more than the Idol 4 ($199.00).

Wait for 60 if you are willing to pay more than the 50. Better specs including camera, screen and processor.
Definitely at least wait for official unveiling of the dtek 60. Things may have changed as well.

Expect the price to be $499. If that's in your budget, it might be worth the wait
    Or else get the DTEK50
At least wait till the earnings report on the 28th. There might be more info then.

    Agreed with this.

Wait for the DTEK60. The speculation of a $100 increase over the 50 is reasonable. As you may know, several CB posters have complained about the 50's battery life. The DTEK60, like the Idol 4S, has a 3000 mAh battery, which is what I'd want at a minimum. And it's QC 3.0-compatible to boot!

Wait, what's the worst that could happen? In few weeks you can compare for yourself and make your decision... but man that 60 sounds like a beast!

Thanks guys. I have waited a while anyway. What's a few more weeks? From the little information that is out there, the 60 sounds like a beast

I sense that for the next eight months after its release, the DTEK60, with its 5.5" screen and Snapdragon 820 CPU, will be BlackBerry's flagship phone for the enterprise and government markets. Consumer BlackBerry haters can complain about the devices' specs or price, but I think BlackBerry has learned its lesson and have now taken the approach not to compete with Samsung and others for the best prices in the supply chain. I sense for BlackBerry fans, Mercury will prove to be the true "hero" device, if not flagship and Priv successor.

If you like the physical size of the DTEK50 and it's in your budget it's a perfectly capable and good mobile device. It operates very well as spec'd. And the battery easily gets me through my day with much to spare. I do not game and or stream regularly on my mobile phone device(s). I do have a high volume of emails. When in standby it barely uses any power. If you like a larger device then wait and see.

A few weeks isn't a long time. But then a few weeks after DTEK60 may come the DTEK with a physical keyboard. That's probably even more interesting.
