I would love to hear from people that have had both phones and hear about the differences.. I don't need a spec list... just how it compares in daily use...call quality, battery life etc..

I like the back of dtek50 better, the speakers, weight and size. Dtek60. Like the amoled screen, the metal frame around phone the battery is better then dtek50 and the way the screen lights up when taking a selfie. Hate how the back camera stick out from phone, that it all glass. One drop and phones shattered

And the back is a fingerprint magnet. I have to say I quite like the design of the phone overall, even the glass back, I do agree that the back of the DTEK50 or a variation of it would have been preferred. The screen sharpness is fantastic. Love the amoled. Weight wise I think it make it feel a lot more premium. Hopefully we get screen protectors for both back and front glass, but that camera sticking out is going to be an issue if it gets dropped.

I have both phones and am really torn between which one to keep.

I like the battery life, internal memory, fingerprint sensor and camera of the DTEK60.

The rear casing on DTEK50 and overall size and feel I think is superior, but it lacks the internal memory. The price is excellent and my cell network also supports VoLTE for DTEK50 (but not the 60).

The biggest draw back to the DTEK60 is that it always has to be in a case because you'll want to protect the rear camera and the backing, which seem a bit fragile.

On the other hand, the DTEK50 can probably get away with without a rear case as the backing seems quite durable. Notwithstanding that the DTEK60 is thinner, knowing that it always has to be in a case and protected adds size to the phone vs just being able to slip the thin DTEK50 in your pocket with likely just a front screen protector. And as someone who is looking forward to showing off the new BB in all it's glory, it makes a difference.

I'm also having a hard time adjusting to the size of the 5.5" DTEK60 in my pocket as I'm coming from the Z30.

If the DTEK60 had a more durable rear and I could show off the phone in it's original state without being worried about breaking it (or damaging the camera), it would be a no-brainer for me.

But the specs on DTEK60 are excellent and hard to ignore.

I'm giving it another week to see if I can adjust.

That second pic using the DTEK 50 is exactly like my photos with mine. That is why I am going to sell it. Hate that fussy picture result. However the videos it takes are outstanding.

Well that was the best advice of the month for me! What an amazing difference with deleting and reinstalling. It has gone to being very sharp and clear. Thanks so much. Now I am bummed by all the pictures I have taken over that last few months with the DTEK 50 that could have been good photos and are so fuzzy and bad. Oh well off to a new start.
