I'm guessing the third world is what Cook meant.
Maybe he meant beyond handsets, who knows, lol. Beyond sales, how many BlackBerry's are still in circulation in enterprise? That could be a decent number, no? No idea, just was surprised at his statement.

To BlackBerry? Kinda doubt it. I think he just wants to make sure those BlackBerry customers go Apple not Android. And his comments came before the massive opportunity presented by Samsung.

Hmm yeah, that would be interesting. I haven't seen people being provided Blackberry devices at companies for years, the last place I worked at got rid of their Blackberry phones and replaced them with iPhones about two or three years a go. Some people refused. They gave away some and sold the rest. Most of them were quite old.

Conspiracy theory time! Anyone want to guess reasons for the mystery delay?

He's waiting to announce the sale of the company to Apple and his new job there.

..I honestly don't see any connection here between the debacle of Samsung and the DTEK 60 capitalising on it..

That's because there isn't one. Just wishful thinking.

I think you might be the winner of the interwebs today ... and with your first post too!

You are correct. While the Note 7 shambles is a PR disaster for Samsung, BB currently have absolutely nothing in play with which to tempt any disillusioned Note 7 owners. I doubt even the DTEK60, when it's finally released, will attract many ex-Note 7 owners either as they occupy fundamentally different niches.

Alot more people had a very positive experience with their privs. Your view is based your own anecdotal evidence.

I love my PRIV! It's given me zero issues and with the android runtime allowing access for all of the google services and lastly the absolutely awesome key board.
I find the device to be a beast.......cant wait for the upcoming "mercury" !!!!!
