While browsing around using different software, I found the setting "Set GSM/ UMTS band" and selected the only option available "USA Band"...

Since that time, INSTANTLY IN EFFECT, the phone stopped seeing cellular networks around at all.

Yeah, my bad for touching "the unknown" , anyways methods that I found to fix require either ROOT (not possibe) or full flash from scratch. And the latter is not even guaranteed to work, .

As far as I read around, if I even find the latest published firmware package, I risk bricking my phone for an undefined period of time.

Can anyone, PLEASE, give me a hint on fixing the issue? - FIXED, phew...

Finally, I soft-bricked my DTEK60. Until there is a new full autoloader out - I am stuck at the boot menu.

If you get into a simialr situation, please do NOT follow what I wrote earlier and contact BlackBerry Mobile for help instead.
The Priv's solution fixed the existing problem but corrupted BlackBerry Android OS integrity and DTEK application picked that up. Consequently, all the new secutiry updates were refusing to install until factory reset. But the factory reset button stopped working as well. So I tried a full autoloader application and now I have a "brick".
