Hey there, I have a Priv and broke the screen and lcd and is not fixable. Getting cash back for it under warranty. Wanted to see what you all thought about going with the Detek60 or going back to the Priv.
    Thanks in advance

Dtek60 if you don't need a physical keyboard. Priv if you do. Also, the Mercury should be out soon, it may be worth waiting for.

Thanks, yeah don't need the pkb. The Priv helped me make the move to vkbn thank god. The only thing that I'm afraid of is the lack of accessories ei; screen protector cases.. Any luck with that? Thanks

I know there is a tempered glass protector on Amazon that most seem happy with. There's a thread about that floating around here.

I'm sure you can find a decent case to go along with it. This is basically the same form factor as the Alcatel 4s. Camera lineups may be a bit off, but close.

I have had the BlackBerry Torch 2 9810, the Z30, the Passport SE, the PRIV, and the Dtek60.

I can say the PROS of the Dtek60 are:

    - fast processor
    - large memory storage
    - lots of Android apps
    - very good 21 MP rear camera
    - 21MP camera takes wider shots with natural colours.
    - very good 8 MP front camera
    - takes excellent pictures with either camera, especially with HDR turned on and "focus before shutter" turned on; colours not over-saturated like PRIV.
    - decent BlackBerry virtual keyboard
    - DTEK security
    - big bright 5.5" display
    - doesn't heat up as much as PRIV
    - great solid metal and glass build
    - lighter and thinner than PRIV
    - BlackBerry HUB
    - great price for high quality
    - Good reception / calling
    - Good speakers
    - headphone port at top of phone
    - useful fingerprint scanner to unlock both phone and individual apps
    - useful convenience side button
    - quick charging with BlackBerry rapid recharger.
    - great BlackBerry accessories available for Dtek60 (cases, pocket, holster, chargers, etc.) except no dock / charging stand.

    CONS of the Dtek60 :

    - I miss the original OS7 and OS10 BlackBerry keyboard for accuracy in multiple languages
    - I miss original BlackBerry OS10 clock and alarms.
    - I miss the Z30 speakers
    - no FM tuner
    - no Paratek antenna
    - No variable colour message LED
    - PRIV and Passport SE had OIS on their rear cameras
    - PRIV, Passport SE, Z30, and Torch had unique BlackBerry design/build "DNA."
    - Complete BlackBerry accessories, including charging dock, available for PRIV, Passport SE, and Torch.

    These are my thoughts.

    Hi Crackberrians,

So I've ordered the DT60, moving from Priv. I hope I've made the right choice?

This was mainly due to battery life and over heating issues.

I've watched some comparisons on YouTube, anybody here have experience with both? Things they love, Miss or annoyed with?

I have had both , dtek60 I still have , in my view a total bargain , brilliant phone
The Priv promised so much , but for me build was just not good enough and after the Passport , the keyboard was very poor, in fact I stopped using it
So now I have dtek60 for personal use , KEYone for business... two excellent phones ...don't ask me to choose , I as really do not know the answer

    - I miss the Z30 speakers.
Hear hear, those speakers on the Z30 were phenomenal. The Z30 was a tank of a Phone, I remember dropping it on gravel in Spain and driving over it and it survived but with a deep scratch on the carbon fibre backing.

Imagine they take all the best features of the Z30/Priv/DTEK 60 and make a monster!

I'm still using the z30 it's been an amazing phone and feels quality in the hand, got hands on the keyone last week and even though I have followed it on this forum for ages I was a little disappointed once I had hold of it ,does look beautiful but just lacks that solid feel that you get from the z30, so now I am wondering whether to go for the Dtek60 as I'm more in favour of the vkb just worried about the camera being not up to scratch, interested what people's thoughts are.

Personal opinion, I think the KEYone just has the better camera on the back , way better on the front
But the Dtek60 has better screen for viewing the photos on
    Hard choice ...
