I was really waiting for your Dtek60 until I saw the price. I will be happily not buying your product and instead buying pixel or a nexus phone, which is lot cheaper with higher performance. I can understand 50-100$ extra for security, but anything beyond is stupid and crazy.

I'm a current owner of passport, for two years, but finally switching to nexus. Consumers aren't stupid. You can't sell a hw you buy for $350 and expect to sell for twice with a program that detects app accesses. You haven't made android the most secure phone yet.

    Good luck!

And what price are you assuming of this un-announced product? And then you spend more on a Nexus that had last year's specs or a Pixel that has similar specs Rolling eyes

Confused the 810v2 (bug-fixed version that doesn't overheat like the M9) with the 820.

Mainstream brands yes as I listed, Chinese flagship killers, not really. I think this is the point some are making.

My only argument to that is local 24/7 support BlackBerry offers versus arguing with whatever Chinese reseller who can't type proper English or outright ignore your support emails.

Except that who buys BlackBerry's if not for consumers. There is very little evidence that BlackBerry Phones are being purchased by Enterprise. I should say no evidence.

Its like people want BlackBerry to make $100 phones with amazing specs. I think a lot of you devalue blackberry and only buy blackberry because you expect their handsets to be cheaper than the comp. Doesn't work like that.

From a marketing perspective, there ARE a lot of people think it's not cool to use a BlackBerry, so it is one way out.

However, this forum is just sour over BB10 and think BlackBerry "owes" them something, hence all this whining all the way from the logo on the front, to the colour of the LED.

Lol don't buy the phone. It's simple, you don't need brand loyalty in Android, you buy what fits your needs. If you need high security go for the DTEK 60. If not get other company phones.

I just sold my PRIV and gonna wait for mercury.

Even in Canada it is difficult or maybe impossible to find a Dtek on display in a carrier store. This is like trying to fight a house fire with a garden hose. The other issue is that many consumers do not want to pay extra for mid range device security.

Even HTC is discounting their "Flag Ship" phone, Dubbed Green is Good, the Taiwanese company is running a promotion this week and this week only, and if youre an HTC fan, this may just be the best thing to ever happen. Perhaps the biggest steal is the HTC 10, the companys very own flagship. HTC is now offering a $150 discount for any color and any carrier version of the HTC 10 the final price comes out to be $549. Just as a quick refresher, the HTC 10 has a 5.2-inch Quad HD screen with a 12-megapixel low-light rear camera. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 820 and should last you a full day with its 3,000 mAh battery.
