With the DTEK60 being released so close to the US Thanksgiving Holiday season, I'm debating whether or not to wait and see if they further reduce the price on an already awesome deal they have now. It would basically determine whether I put money down now or in a few weeks.

Just curious, because I'm (currently) on Verizon I didn't really pay attention to the Priv initial launch, did BlackBerry hold a sale afterwards?

There's always a chance I suppose but history shows they won't do anything for their 'latest' device. Last year they did everything but Priv, which was their latest at the time.

Thanks Bla1ze, truthfully I was being lazy and didn't use the search function, since I was fairly certain CB covered it last year.

Maybe we'll get lucky, and BlackBerry will want to really get these new Android BlackBerries out there. It'd be a great way to move a lot of them, and get more BB's into the market with this newer direction...

I remember hoping for the same last year for the Priv but no dice. Not gonna hold my breath this year.

I doubt it's a Black Friday sale. Everything outside of the dtek and Leap devices are already on sale on shopblackberry.com so I think the chances are slim. Amazon may throw us a surprise though.

I just don't see a sale happening. Maybe after Christmas but even then. Expect sales on Classic, Priv and Passport though!

I think it would be smart. They'd sell a lot more of them. BlackBerry doesn't have the luxury of being able to charge a high premium for their devices and expect consumers to pay it anymore.

But, the DTEK60 isn't priced at a premium though. Plus, they'd have to write off the loss, which would further put the hardware dept in the hole. Honestly $500 isn't bad for the specs on this phone.

There is no sale coming for this for in the near future. It hasn't even been out a month. If you want one just get it now or wait 6 months and maybe then...

Since other BlackBerry phones are already pretty discounted in the BlackBerry store I wouldn't hold my breath for much of a Black Friday sake on anything. The only one maybe I could see is the Dtek 50 because it has been out for 6 months now and hasn't yet had a sale.

Black Friday means deals, aka.. good prices.

Blackberry is not Apple, nor Samsung.

    DTEK60 should've had a discount, even 5-10% . Something.

The Priv was so expensive ~$650+ and now look at it at $299. They don't know how to price product. It's like an extension of the Z10 problem to newer models.

Blackberry needs lower prices, but not too low. Something is needed to entice.

But the DTEK60 is already at an amazing price.
