Does anyone know what this means: "this version of Microsoft Excel can't open documents with firm control's"?

    Any help would be appreciated.

I think you mean Form Controls. They use Active-X and VBA which are supported by Window and Mac OS, but not yet by Android. Microsoft says they are working on it.

I don't think that's what OP is asking about. Pretty sure CSV doesn't have form controls.

Docx is Microsoft Word's file format. CSV (Comma Separated Values) is a plain text comma delimited generic spreadsheet format format.

I know what it is... that's why I said a plaintext file most likely doesn't contain VB controls.
