Can you elaborate?
My brand new DTEK60 battery life is awful. About 48 h with hardly any use from me and it all gone.

Go into setting and look at what is using most of the power...
Maybe a service or app has gotten a bug and is running all the time?
There is always the Factory Reset option...
I disable and killed all Google Play, Google music/video, disabled Camera and similar crapware I have no need for. No Facebook or any other similar advertisement consumption app's.
Takes a week.
No need to kill it, though Feb is known hog, you'll still want Google Play and some services have to be updated.
Restoring can throw a monkey wrench into system.
Have had great battery life since setting it up two days ago. Recommend checking apps for battery hog, or factory reset and setting up from scratch with no restore.

What do you expect with Android?

Mine is great
Return the device if you still can and either buy another one or get a different phone. Mine failed outside the return window and I'm regretting buying it as BlackBerry Support is terrible. If you are not happy then dump it now while you have time.
You shouldn't have that much battery drain. Mine was great with battery and that was with battery hog apps like FB and FB Messenger.

Mine is fantastic, easily lasts entire day.
Killing all that spamware form Google, FB and others spammers does wonders to phones battery life. Activate "battery saver". This supposed to calm everything down especially if you are not one of those pathetic phone addicted characters who has to fiddle it 24/7.
I am still convinced moving to Android OS was a huge mistake.
At night put it on battery saver mode.
Force stopped a pile of apps I do not need. Disabled few useless app's like Googlpe Play TV, Google Play Music, absolutely useless Hangouts, News & Weather, adjusted screen brightness and guess what. First estimate from battery app was 9 days :) After some use, it shows about 5 days and this is way better than before, when my battery was getting sucked dry just laying on the table, doing absolutely nothing useful.
I wish there was a way to kill (force stop) Google Play Service until I actually need it to check updates or what ever it's doing. :)
I bet everyone has bloatware you can probably remove permanently or at least force stop for good.
Were you able to force stop in the OS or did you have to download an app from play store to do this?
What phone did you come from?
Also tap on the "Screen" and then send us a screenshot of that.
I think 48h with light use is expected.
I may have stumbled upon a battery draining item.
Prior to yesterday I was getting fairly poor battery life, I wound tend to plug in most of the day or in the car. If not I would loose battery very quickly throughout the day.
However, yesterday and re-setup my BB Hub. Set up my multiple email accounts, linked in, etc. The ONE change I made to all the accounts was to turn off "push" sync. Thus, I must manually refresh when I check the HUB.
It's 345 central time, unplugged at 7am, my battery is at 73% having not plugged in all day, numerous texts, checking emails and a few phone calls.
Perhaps Androids constant need to be up to date is it's downfall????
Coincidence??
Yes it is android, it has always been android.
How the hell can you have 3400mah and still have **** poor battery life (ie Priv)??? Easy - the OS.
