Just did it half hour ago. Right now on 98％. Not overheating. Keeping fingers crossed!!

Just downloaded Aug security update on my DTEK60 on Canada. No issues.

AH!! FINALLY!!! just did the check for updates and it FINALLY told me I had an update..... of course I need to wait until I get up to run it over WiFi.... Hope to see battery improve again...... prior to the June(July) update I could get to the evening on one charge, maybe give it a boost now and then if I did any heavy usage... but now not even using it I start at 100% and by mid day am at 50%

Just got August update, and the phone still works. Whew!

And now I just installed September 5 update on my Dtek50 haha!!!!!!!
Jury still out on Dtek60 battery on Aug update. Will have to keep track of it better. Heavy user.

factory reset solved my drain issue. DTEK 60. just lost 2% from night to morning from 10-11%

And it did not for me. That's the way life is. What's more important - all channels of good support are currently eliminated = buying a BlackBerry is a lottery with no help. CrackBerry is a way too weaker support source.

What I did was reset, then update the basic apps from playstore, add accounts in hub . Then restart and then let it settle for a while , kept in charge . Then I installed only necessary apps and hoped for better battery life. I didn't use any backup from google to restore , thought of starting from scratch

First thread I have started in a while. Maybe it should be the July security update waiting room.

I did see that google has released the details of August security patch. Any guesses on how long we lowly DTEK60 users have to wait?

I've had the notification for the JUNE update since forever. I haven't updated my handset yet. It works. I'm waiting to see what it fixes or improves before I commit it to device.

How long did you keep it "in charge"? The new update might have (hopefully) adjusted voltage limits for battery, this might mean something.
Also, are you using the original "quickcharge-able" charger or something with lower maximum current/power supplied?
