My DTEK60 after a full reinstall by autoloader AAL158 (taken from https://ca.blackberry.com/content/bl...OS-Reload.html May 2017) proposes me to apply only a June 5, 2017 update.

The *#*#checkin#*#* thing gives me a message, but the last update available remains the same.
Finally, today I got my August 5 update.
Yes, I did. And it won't recharge as quickly as before. And sometimes it doesn't recharge at all over night.
I also hope that this annoying battery drain is NOTABLY addressed somehow. Gonna check it thoroughly while I am on a freshly installed OS.

Reboot your phone and charge it to full 100 percent before use. It will start working normally then. I had the same problem after update. Battery drained drastically 10-12% in an hour without any usage. But then I just reboot the phone and charged it over night to 100 percent. Its working fine as before now.

That's good to hear, yet I am still waiting for the update..... even though its unlocked is it still carrier dependent for pushing it out? (I'm on AT&T)

What's the drain % from night to morning, say 9 hours of deep sleep?

Well mine after it got fixed just 1% . I sleep at 2 in the night and wake up at 8:30 in the morning. Sometimes it stays on 100 sometimes 99 depending on the time I sleep and wake up- varies for around 30 minutes.

Before August 5 update my DTEK60 easily consumed 85% of battery overnight in AIRPLANE(!!!) mode. The OS was JUST the official autoloader from the BlackBerry site + latest update applied. I am now testing my phone after the August 5 OS update. Fingers crossed.

I believe Dtek 60 wasn't sold by any carriers. So I believe you would get it direct

That had nothing to do with the OS. You have an issue that can probably only be solved by a factory reset.

    battery drain still persists
We have two Dtek60's, bought in February. Battery has always been just so so, needs a recharge mid-day if used heavily, all good if we turn off Auto update, wi-fi, Bluetooth, location, and the like. Lol.. isn't all that stuff what they Tout when marketing the phone?
Anyway...in the last few day's to week, we have seen a noticeable drop in our two Dtek60 battery life. Today I pulled off the charger at 8am used the phone to check maybe 35 emails, respond to 6, checked CB to see what was going on today, made 4 phone calls, received 2, all about 25 minutes total. Went about my day, just got home @ 3:15pm checked my battery and it's at 16%!!!
Most days I do about double that usage, and don't get home until 5pm and I'm at about 30%. I ask my wife about her phone and she said that she noticed it too, starting about a week ago. I'm just curious if others have noticed a drop like we have?

Also, we both use Sound Profile Pro with Scheduler & Location Task profiles setup since day one on our 60 's for us to get the most out of our batteries, no wi-fi, BT, Auto update while away from the house. Other than BT in the cars. Neither of us have installed apps months.
    Thanks

Sorry, wanted to add one more thing.
The phone does seem to be getting WAY hotter on a quick charge, or regular charge and browsing at the same time. Hot enough to feel it thru the case at times...all new to us over the last week or so.
    Thanks

Factory reset might be the thing but I don't want to go through all that setup process again.

I went through all my apps and turned off the permissions that seemed unnecessary. There are loads of them. Once I did that my phone was noticeably quicker and the battery improved. Problem is once the apps are updated they reintroduce all these unnecessary permissions that I don't want.

Sooo, 600 bucks for a phone, then you MUST shut over half of it down just to make their battery last the way the touted it? No wonder BlackBerry abandoned the Dtek series.

Factory reset was applied already a couple of times. It changed nothing. It looks like I have to find a way to draw enough attention from BlackBerry support, which is not really that easy
